Volunteer your time as a parent helper.

Come In And Help Out In The School

Who Can Come In And Help In The School?

We encourage and welcome parents, grandparents and carers as well as other members of our school families to volunteer at our school.

At Parkhead Primary we value the contribution parent helpers and other members of the school community can make to enhance the learning opportunities for our children, as well as the support they can give to enhancing the environment. We appreciate that some school activities could not take place without the support of our extended school community.

What Can I Do To Help In The School?

There are many ways in which you can offer support and help within the school.  This could be reading with a small group of children, supporting on school trips or helping in the library or garden.  Volunteers with a special skill, which they could share with the children in say our  are also most welcome.

I'm In! What Do I Have To Do Now?

Complete our Volunteer Online Form (opens new window) and we'll do the rest. Parkhead Primary is committed to safeguarding our pupils.  All regular volunteers are required to be a member of PVG Disclosure Scotland (opens new window). This is to ensure the safety of all the children in our school. You can have a look at our Protection Vulnerable Groups Guidelines (PDF) [435KB] (opens new window) if you require further information,

We look forward to seeing you in the school!
