Sports Day Organisation

At a glance

• Primary 4 - Primary 5 Children will be having their Sports Day from 9:15AM - 10:15PM 
• Primary 6 - Primary 7 Children will be having their Sports Day from 11:00AM - 12:00PM
• Primary 1 - Primary 3 Children will be having their Sports Day from 1:15PM - 2:45PM

Timetable (Morning)

9.15 -10.15 - P4 & P5 Pupils will do three races each with some additional skill challenges when they are not resting or cheering on classmates.
 

Interval 10.30am -11:00am

11:00 - 12:00 P6 & P7 Pupils will do three races each with some additional skill challenges when they are not resting or cheering on classmates.

Timetable (Afternoon)

1:15 - 2:45 P1 - P3 Pupils will do three races each with some additional skill challenges when they are not resting or cheering on classmates.

Parents are more than welcome to come along and support their child/children during sports day. 

What Should My Child Wear?

Children should come to school ready for PE. If possible children should come to school wearing their house colours (eg a t-shirt or top)

Orkney - Orange

Shetland - Purple

Mull - Blue

Harris - Green

Arran - Yellow

Skye - Red

We recommend that you provide your child with outdoor trainers for the day as the vast majority of activities will take place on the playing field. Please remember to provide your child with a hat and sun cream if the weather is going to be sunny. All children should come to school with a water bottle that can be refilled. 

Sports Day takes place on our playing field and if your child is prone to hayfever we suggest you medicate them before they come to school. 

What Happens If It Rains?

As always, Sports Day is weather dependent. If we need to cancel due to weather or safety reasons (eg waterlogged field!) we'll let parents know by Groupcall by 8:45AM. If Sports Day is cancelled due to inclement weather it is unlikely that we will be able to reschedule the event this year. 

Photography / Video

Please note that if you wish to photograph or video your own child at sports day, please make sure than no other children are in the photograph or video. Not all children in our school have been given consent for their image to be used.
